I would like to Thank both Jeff and Pat for the expert work they did on my snow thrower.
I emailed them to schedule an appointment to fix my snow thrower that I thought needed some serious work. When Jeff and Pat arrived, they looked over my snow thrower, LISTENED to what I thought the problem was, examined the snow thrower and told me that it was not as serious as I thought it was and said, “it only needed to be tuned up.” Was I delighted to hear that, not only were they prompt and professional, they truly provide top, professional customer service and fixing my snow thrower in a quick, professional manner. They mentioned the electric starter was “shot” and would need replacing, I gave them to the “go ahead” for the replacement. It took them less than an hour to get my snow thrower ready for the winter of 2014/2015. I would highly recommend them for any work and would certainly use them for any future lawnmower, throw shower or other small engine service I would require. Thanks again, for the wonderful service.

My house is apparently out of this company's service area - but they were quick and professional in responding, and even provided a possible solution my problems. I e-mailed this company to inquire about servicing a snowblower that is broken. They wrote back during the same day; unfortunately I am out of their service area, but were kind enough to include what they think the problem might be and what I could try to fix it. Surely free advice can't be an everyday practice, but it was much appreciated given the urgency of my situation (SO much snow!). My snow blower decided to eat a newspaper. I have a 5 year warranty from the company I purchased it from, but because this was accidental damage, the warranty didn't cover this. They also couldn't give me an estimate for how much the repairs would be, but that there would be between a $90-$110 trip charge/diagnostic fee, and then they'd tell me how much for repairs. Not wanting to do that, I spent over 2 hours trying to unjam the paper from the impeller, with no luck. After searching on Angie's List, I called Mobile Engine Doctor. I spoke to Emily and she gave me an estimate over the phone, letting me know that there could be some additional charges if a belt needed to be replaced. Jeff showed up shortly after 8am. He took the snow blower down to the "Mobile Workshop" and cleared the newspaper jam and changed the oil, all in under 40 minutes. There were no surprise charges, and the whole thing cost less than the diagnostic fee the other company wanted. We are supposed to get 10"-12" of snow tonight, and now I don't have to worry about shoveling. Great Job!

I was very pleased and will definitely use this service again. I have a large snowblower that will fit in my minivan, but I need help to get it loaded. So, based on ratings and convenience I tried this mobile repair service. I inquired through their website. I indicated I was in no hurry, but they responded faster than I expected and were able to fit me in before the big snowfall on Feb. 20. I'd had trouble starting the snowblower. Also, found that I had a gas leak. Jeff got the motor running, found and repaired the leak and replaced a gas line valve that was questionable. I'm a curious sort, and he was great about answering my questions and explaining things. He identified that my shutoff switch was shot. I was pleased that he took a practical, free approach to giving me an alternative method of shutting off the unit instead of offering to search for expensive parts for an old snowblower. I felt the charge for his service was very reasonable and saved me a lot of hassle and time by doing the repair at my house.

I made the appointment about a week prior to the appointment; the night before they provided me with a one hour time window for the service, and the technician showed up right on time. He evaluated the snowblower, told me what he would do and what he might have to do and we agreed on a price that if it was going to exceed that we wouldn't do anything but rather would get a new machine. He determined it did a new carburetor, and that was about $80 of the cost. He adjusted the skids and all controls and belts so that it worked like a champ. It took about two hours and was a total of $199.84 for parts and labor, which I thought was reasonable given what he did and the fact that he did it right at my house (I don't have a vehicle capable of transporting a snowblower.) I am very happy with the service I received, and have no qualms recommending Mobile Engine Doctor.

I'm one of the few Minnesotans that doesn't own a truck or an SUV. So transporting a mower to a shop is a bit of a chore in a four door sedan. Since the Mobile Engine Doctor comes to my home, it seemed like a perfect solution to my problem. He showed up at the appointed time towing his shop in a trailer. He got to work on my driveway and in about an hour the mower was tuned up. He changed the oil, filter, and spark plug; sharpened and balanced the blade; and cleaned up the mower. It's running better now than it has in a long time. The price was about the same as taking my mower in to have it tuned up.

I had them come out to my house in the summer for an annual check up on my 46" lawn tractor and bought new blades. I have three snow blowers and this winter neither one would start/ work. Since these bowers are big and heavy, it was absolutely an arduous task for me to bring them to a repair shop. I called around just like anyone else and got nowhere until I came across the "Mobile Engine Doctor" team. They are real professionals and are actually kind hearted people who firmly believe in Great Customer Service.
This winter has been hard and we have had lot of snow in Minneapolis. Even with such a high demand for their work and extremely busy schedules, it was easy to get an appointment for within a week.
After I made the appointment, we learned that a big snow storm is headed our way. In anticipation of that storm, Emily who I believe is a part owner, contacted me and asked me if I would like to get at least one of the three blowers fixed before the storm arrives. I of course welcomed that generous offer and so the owner Mark came to my home and fixed one of the blowers so I may not have to do all that shoveling manually. He is good at what he does because it did not take him more than half an hour to get that blower going.
The other two were fixed later by Jeff who is equally qualified, professional and a gentleman.
Wow, where do you see this kind of care and service these days? So Emily, Mark and Jeff thank you so much for your professionalism, kindness, and great quality of work, diligent efforts and a great PRICE. I appreciated it and I will be your customer for the rest of my life.

We got the third largest snowstorm in Minneapolis this past weekend, went out to start my fancy Toro - nothing. Lots of shoveling, very little happiness. Talked to the local hardware store, they could look at it, but I'd have to get it there and maybe get it back in 2 weeks and it would run around $110. Then I thought I'd give Angie's list a try and came across this amazing service. Called Sunday at 2pm, Emily got back to me by 5 pm. Said Mark could come out Tuesday. Left the garage open Tuesday, came home and the snow blower was fixed and the rest of my driveway was blown out. Mark left instructions on how to avoid the situation in the future. And all for just $90, $20 of which was traveling charge because I live outside of their service area. Absolutely brilliant. I have become a life long customer, because they will come out and do tune ups. Absolutely amazing.

I had an oil leak in my Yard Machine snow blower. Jeff, the service technician from Mobile Engine Doctor examined the blower and determined that it was a minor problem with a metal washer, replacing it with rubber. He then replaced my oil and proceeded to add air to the tires, which I hadn't even noticed as being low. Jeff, from Mobile Engine Doctor did a great job. He diagnosed the problem with my snow blower and fixed it quickly. The charge was very reasonable. I would certainly use him again and would recommend him to others.

We called Mobile Engine Doctor to service our snowblower. It did not work at all last year. Mobile Engine Doctor was very accommodating. They were going to schedule us for next week. However, when they heard we were home on vacation this week, they scheduled a time for us the very next day. Mark came out to the house and installed a new carburetor and then did general maintenance on the snowblower including checking spark plug, adding air to tires, checked belts, and lubed drive gears. Mark was very professional and it was wonderful having him come to us and work on the snowblower at our house.
